The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) invites online applications for the recruitment of one Project Officer, a Group-A Gazetted post, within the Directorate of Biotechnology under the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Tripura.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Master's Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Biotechnology, Fisheries, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Veterinary Science, or Biochemistry. A Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC) is mandatory. Knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok is desirable.

Age Limit (as on 07-01-2026)

Minimum: 18 years, Maximum: 40 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST/SC/Person with Disabilities/Government servant candidates.

Experience

Two years of experience in the respective field.

Application Fee

General Candidates: ₹400. ST/SC/BPL card holders/Physically Handicapped Candidates: ₹350. The fee is non-refundable and must be deposited online.

Salary

Pay Matrix Level-14 of the Tripura State Pay Matrix 2018 (Previously Pay Band-4: ₹15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay ₹5,400).

Selection Process

The selection process consists of two stages: a written examination of 170 marks (MCQ-based, 3 hours duration) followed by a viva voce of 30 marks. Candidates will be called for the interview based on their written test results (5 candidates per vacancy). The final merit list will be prepared by combining marks from both stages.

Applications must be submitted online only through the official TPSC website. Candidates must first register through the One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the TPSC portal to generate a User ID, which is then used to apply for the post. No hard copy applications will be accepted.
