Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) has announced a recruitment notification for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This is a great opportunity for candidates with a background in mathematics to work on a cutting-edge research project.
Vacancy Details
There is 01 vacancy for the position of Junior Research Fellow. The post is funded by the ANRF Early Career Research Grant scheme (File no. ANRF/ECRG/2024/002168/PMS). The selected candidate will work on the project titled 'Analysis of some mathematical systems modelling heat transfer between two Navier-Stokes-Fourier fluids separated by an elastic interface.'
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess an M.Sc degree with a minimum of 65% or 7 CGPA from a recognized university or institute. It is mandatory to have qualified the CSIR-UGC NET or GATE examination. A strong background in Measure theory and Functional Analysis is essential, and some exposure to the theory of Partial differential equations will be appreciated.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for applicants is 28 years.
Salary and Fellowship Duration
The fellowship offers a competitive salary: Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA of Rs. 7,400 for the first two years, and Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA of Rs. 8,400 for the final seven months. The fellowship is available for a total duration of 2 years and 7 months, starting from January 2025.
Selection Process
